To The Point Jesus

So one thought has captured my attention in studying the life of Jesus and his interactions with people. That is the simple fact that Jesus never made a trip without reason, and he knew why he was heading where he was. This does not mean he never went out of his way to help people. With the story of the Samaritan woman though that meets Jesus at the well it is the complete opposite. She was in the direct path of where Jesus was headed and he knew she would be there. He purposely crossed in the Samaritan land, a land the Jews purposely avoided, to meet this woman. So many times God takes a crooked way around to help us, but sometimes he runs straight at us and surprises us because we all have come to expect to have to wait for him. When this happens we realize that most people would've take the long way to avoid the help because it means shock, and sometimes causing pain, but God says I'm doing this with reason and regardless of what happens, I'm doing this because I love you. Jesus did not do anything just because, he did it for the reason to set an example for when he was to leave this world. Nothing Jesus did was pointless. Nothing he did is to be overlooked. Every prayer he prayed, every miracle he did, every conversation he had, had a point to it. God has a love language that no one will ever fully understand, but let's you know all you need to know about it. He has given you the opportunity to get the living water and drink of it for the exchange of you quenching his physical thirst for us to serve. God does not waste our time nor does he give us more than we need. He allows us to make our choices while giving us all the time we need to complete his will for us. He may wait to give us the answer we need but he will give it when needed. Sometimes that will be straight out in the moment you ask, even though that is extremely rare. The Samaritan woman believed in the Messiah and believe that her answers would come. Jesus managed to do that straight to her face, which very well might have been the single biggest blessing in her life. What might God do for you with an answer you need?

Intro to this blog

So, this is a new blog that is actually going to follow a basic idea. If you read into the heading you can already tell what this blog is going to be. This is going to be a blog not just about what I've done, who I've been, God's revealing to me, and me running to go tell people who God is. In fact, it will be an expansion on that. It is to reveal who we all are, what we've all done, and how God reveals himself to all of us. Just like Jesus revealed to the Samaritan woman that he knew she did not have a husband, but indeed has had five and the man she was with now was not her husband. He also asked this woman for a drink from the well, and in exchange he would give her water in which she would never become thirsty again from. Upon this the woman asks Jesus how he'd get this water as he had nothing to draw water from the well with. When Jesus revealed to her that he knew about her husbands she runs to go tell the villagers "Come see a man who has told me all the things I ever did." I note that she runs, not a slow walk, and in the process leaves her water pot. What this is suggesting is that she dropped her initial goal and left all she had to go spread the news of the Jew that could tell of things that would not be naturally known. Later on it notes when she returns that she believed in the promise of the Messiah, and would be a person, and would be a teacher, not a great military conqueror. She proceeds to ask the question "This couldn't be the Christ, could it?" She left it open to the others to believe what they wanted, but the seed had been planted in her mind that the Messiah might have come at last. She presents people with all the information she knew and had to leave it at that. This blog is to expose us as humans, in what we've done and who we are, and to do the best possible to reveal God's majesty to all. I'm ready to run, not walk, to tell of this great and marvelous God.
